The “Secret Sauce” That Makes The Entrepreneur
Wow.
I learnt something extremely valuable from Eben’s Top Gun Altitude Seminar today. One of the speakers at the event, Murray Hidary (the guy who’s passion is in starting up companies, taking them public, sells them; the same dude who bought dice.com and grew it from a 6M to 100M biz… amazing!) shared from stage:
“Enterpreneurs do not consider themselves business people. A better way to approach it is to view themselves as CREATIVE people.
The one thing that differentiates entrepreneurs from everyone else is the ability to EXECUTE and IMPLEMENT on an idea they have. Everybody has great ideas. Everyone you meet has great ideas at one point or another in their lives. But the question is have they been able to take that idea and turn it into a REALITY, an actual company.
Hmm… Interesting perspective to look at things.
Focusing on “real value”… Let’s all remind ourselves of that.
The stuff he shared eg. thinking about the “product” as the company, thinking of the company as the “product” you’re selling. ALWAYS have an exit-strategy as an entrepreneur, etc… what a VASTLY DIFFERENT way of looking at things alltogether…
